KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Menara Masjid Nur Hidayatulloh atau Masjid Kuncen Kota Madiun kini telah diresmikan Walikota Madiun, Maidi, Rabu (20/12). Menara setinggi 18 meter proyek Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) itu diresmikan Walikota bersamaan giat bersepeda bersama kepala OPD.
“Janji saya menara harus jadi sebelum saya purna tugas di akhir tahun ini. Alhamdulillah, hari ini sudah saya resmikan dan bisa melengkapi wisata religi di sini,’’ kata walikota.
Tidak hanya itu, orang nomor satu di Kota Pendekar itu juga meresmikan wisata sendang Kuncen yang sebelumnya ikut direnovasi. Harapannya, bisa menjadi wisata religi ke depan.
Maidi menyebut kawasan Sendang Kuncen juga siap menerima wisatawan. Kawasan sudah direhab lebih menarik.
Masjid dan sendang, menurutnya bisa menjadi satu kawasan paket wisata religi yang menarik di Kota Madiun. Walikota menyebut wisata religi di Kelurahan Kuncen bisa menjadi daya tarik tersendiri.
“Apalagi, ke depan juga akan dikolaborasikan dengan wisata religi jantung kota,” tambahnya.
Seperti diketahui, Kota Madiun sudah memiliki Pahlawan Religi Center (PRC). Ke depan, bisa menjadi satu paket wisata religi yang menarik.
‘’Jadi nanti kita berdayakan penarik becak. Kita bantu becak motor. Jadi wisatawan bisa menikmati Musala Ka’bah kemudian ke Kuncen atau Masjid Taman dan ke pondok-pondok,’’ ujarnya.
Pemerintah Kota Madiun menambahkan menara untuk mempercantik Masjid Kuncen yang sudah ada sejak abad ke-16 itu. Pembangunan menara tidak meninggalkan konsep cagar budaya.
Bahkan, untuk desain DPUPR berkonsultasi dengan ahli dari Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya (BPCB) Trowulan. Ini karena Masjid Kuncen masuk bangunan cagar budaya.
Maka tidak heran, menara bisa menyatu dengan desain masjid kuno tersebut. Tidak hanya itu, juga ada pembangunan lainnya di sekitar kawasan masjid.
Termasuk gapura di simpang empat jalan Masjid Raya. Adapun pembangunan manara masjid itu dianggarkan sekitar Rp1,3 Miliar. (*)
