KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun telah menuntaskan kegiatan normalisasi saluran di Jalan Mayjend Sungkono, depan Rumah Sakit Islam (RSI) Siti Aisyah Madiun. Paket pekerjaan tersebut sesuai kontrak dimulai 12 April lalu.
Kepala Bidang (Kabid) Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Air (PSDA) DPUPR Kota Madiun, Suyanto mengatakan, proyek senilai Rp2,2 Miliar itu dapat diselesaikan tepat waktu. Yaitu pada 24 September 2023.
“Trotoar depan RSI itu sudah selesai tepat waktu, jadi bisa langsung difungsikan,” ujarnya, Jum’at (29/9).
Seperti diketahui, normalisasi saluran Jalan Mayjend Sungkono sisi barat itu dilakukan sepanjang 600-an meter. Kemudian di atasnya dapat difungsikan sebagai pedestrian layaknya sisi timur jalan.
Menurut Suyanto, pedestrian yang dibangun itu kini sudah dapat dimanfaatkan masyarakat sebagaimana fungsi awal. Yaitu bagi pejalan kaki.
Untuk itu, ia meminta masyarakat untuk ikut merawat. Pun jangan sampai dirusak, karena merupakan fasilitas publik. (*)
