KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Eks bangunan Puskesmas Oro-oro Ombo, Kota Madiun mulai dibongkar. Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun bakal merubah tempat tersebut menjadi gedung dewan kerajinan nasional daerah (dekranasda).
Saat ini proyek itu mulai dikerjakan. Diawali dengan merobohkan bangunan bekas puskesmas di Jalan Diponegoro tersebut. Nantinya gedung dekranasda itu berkonsep bangunan dua lantai.
“Sesuai kontrak proyek selesai 14 November,” kata Kepala DPUPR Kota Madiun Suwarno, Jum’at (5/8).
Menurut dia, gedung dekranasda akan menjadi ikon baru di Kota Madiun. Gedung ini untuk ruang pameran produk-produk kerajinan kota.
“Nanti juga dilengkapi area untuk UMKM,” terangnya.
Yang jelas, kata dia, pembangunan gedung dekranasda itu untuk memeratakan pusat keramaian di Kota Madiun. Dengan harapan, pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah berjalan merata di semua wilayah.
“Jadi, pusat keramaiannya tidak hanya terpusat di tengah kota saja. Tapi merata di seluruh wilayah kota ini,” pungkasnya. (*)
