KOTA MADIUN (Dinas PUPR) – Ruas jalan di Kota Madiun bertambah panjang. Itu seiring langkah dinas pekerjaan umum dan penataan ruang (DPUPR) membuka lima ruas jalan baru tahun ini. ‘’Total ruas jalan baru panjangnya sekitar 2,46 kilometer,’’ kata Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun Suwarno, Rabu (3/8).
Kelima ruas jalan anyar tersebut adalah jalan di Lapak Semendung-Klegen, Jalan Tembus Lapak Manisrejo–Lapak Banjarejo, Jalan Letkol Suwarno 2, Jalan Sendang dan rintisan jalan di area Peceland, Nambangan Lor.
Khusus jalan di Lapak UMKM Semendung-Klegen rencananya bakal menjadi akses infrastruktur untuk pembangunan Pondok Lansia. Sedangkan, rintisan jalan di Nambangan Lor diproyeksikan untuk pengembangan kawasan Peceland.
“Pembangunan jalan baru itu menghubungkan kawasan-kawasan produktif. Misalnya, kawasan pariwisata dan UMKM,’’ ujarnya.
Suwarno mengklaim ruas jalan di wilayah Kota Madiun nyaris seluruhnya dalam kondisi baik. Dari total panjang jalan 358,3 kilometer (km), hanya 5,053 km atau 1,41 persen yang rusak.
“Jalanan di kota itu kalau rusak sedikit saja ada laporan. Jadi bisa langsung diperbaiki,’’ tuturnya. (*)
