KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Proyek pembangunan pondok lansia di kawasan Lapak Bumi Semendung Kota Madiun tuntas dikerjakan. Proyek milik Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) itu menjadi salah satu proyek strategis Pemkot Madiun.
Kepala Bidang Cipta Karya DPUPR Kota Madiun, Sulistya Pambudi mengatakan, paket proyek fisik itu tuntas dikerjakan sejak 11 September kemarin. Adapun total anggarannya sekitar Rp9,4 Miliar.
“Alhamdulillah selesai sesuai jadwal atau kontrak,’’ ujar Uut sapaan akrab Sulistya Pambudi, Selasa (12/9).
Dengan tuntasnya pembangunan pondok lansia, maka dapat segera ditempati kelompok lanjut usia (lansia) di Kota Madiun. Itu sebagaimana arahan Walikota Madiun, Maidi.
Uut menjelaskan, ada tiga item pekerjaan utama dalam paket proyek strategis tersebut. Meliputi pengurukan lahan, pembangunan dua gedung asrama pondok serta selasar dan pagar.
Pondok lansia jalan menuju Surga itu dibangun di lahan seluas 12.000 meter persegi. Seluruh lahan juga telah diuruk dengan ketinggian sekitar 70 sentimeter dari permukaan tanah.
Kemudian dibangun dua gedung asrama dengan total 14 unit kamar. Adapun kapasitasnya mampu diisi 56 orang lansia.
“Satu unit kamar dapat ditempati empat penghuni,’’ tambahnya.
Kendati demikian, pembangunan kawasan pondok lansia belum tuntas sepenuhnya. Rencananya, pemkot akan menyempurnakan dengan penambahan fasilitas lain.
Di antaranya dua gedung asrama tambahan dan lanskap yang akan digarap tahun depan. Dua gedung itu rencananya berada di sebelah utara masjid pondok lansia yang saat ini sedang progres pembangunan,’’ pungkasnya. (*)
