KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Pemkot Madiun melalui Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun membangun jalur pedestrian baru. Konsepnya menutup saluran Pancasila sepanjang 130 meter dan lebar 8,25 meter di Kelurahan Nambangan Lor, Kecamatan Manguharjo.
Kabid Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Air (PSDA) Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun Suyanto mengatakan, pengerjaan menyentuh pemasangan baja wide flange dan betonisasi. Setelah semuanya beres, kemudian baru dipasangi lantai granit. Model pembangunan ini sama dengan yang ada di Sumber Wangi.
“Nanti, setelah saluran tertutup dibangun pedestrian. Kurang lebih nanti seperti saluran di kawasan Sumber Wangi-Sumber Umis,” ujarnya, Rabu (19/7).
Pembangunan jalur pedestrian dengan menutup saluran itu akan terkoneksi ke Pasar Pancasila yang saat ini sedang direvitalisasi. Karena akan difungsikan sebagai pedestrian, Suyanto memastikan penutupan permukaan atas saluran mengedepankan aspek keamanan. Sebab antara permukaan atas dan dasar saluran memiliki jarak sekitar enam meter.
“Peningkatan saluran ini termasuk mengurangi kawasan kumuh yang ada di Kota Madiun,’’ ujarnya.
Dibutuhkan waktu sekitar 180 hari kalender kerja untuk merampungkan proyek senilai Rp 2,5 miliar tersebut. Pengerjaan telah dimulai Mei lalu dan ditargetkan selesai sebelum akhir tahun ini.
“Karena progresnya termasuk cepat, kami optimistis pekerjaan selesai tepat waktu bahkan malah lebih cepat,’’ terang Suyanto.
Sebagaimana desain yang ada, di sepanjang kanan-kiri saluran Pancasila itu akan ditembok. Tujuannya untuk menjaga esetetika kawasan. Kemudian di sepanjang lorong tersebut akan ditambahi vegetasi dan fasilitas tempat duduk. (*)
