KOTA MADIUN (Dinas PUPR) – Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun menambah outlet (pintu air) di saluran Pancasila, Kelurahan Nambangan Lor dan di Jalan Muh. Nur Kelurahan Demangan. Ini dilakukan sebagai upaya pengendali banjir.
Kepala Bidang Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Air (PSDA) DPUPR Kota Madiun, Suyanto mengatakan, penambahan pintu air itu dilakukan karena outlet yang lama dari Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai (BBWS) Solo terlalu kecil. Dikhawatirkan jika hujan deras dan debit air meningkat, saluran tersebut tidak bisa menampung sehingga air meluber ke pemukiman warga.
“Kalau yang lama itu kan diameternya 1×1 meter, terus ini kita membuat lagi dengan ukuran 2×2 meter. Karena dengan saluran yang begitu besar dengan outlet ukuran 1 meter kan nggak mampu,” katanya, Senin (18/7).
Suyanto menegaskan, proyek tersebut dipastikan tidak merubah bentuk asli dari outlet yang lama. Justru pintu air yang baru, dibangun disebelahnya. Proyek pembangunan outlet di Gang Pancasila mulai dikerjakan awal Juli ini dengan anggaran sekitar Rp1,5 Miliar.
Sedangkan proyek yang sama di Jalan Muh. Nur, Kelurahan Demangan dianggarkan sekitar Rp1,7 Miliar. Kedua proyek tersebut ditargetkan selesai awal November mendatang. Suyanto menegaskan, untuk outlet di Jalan Muh. Nur diharapkan bisa mengendalikan banjir di Kelurahan Demangan, Kuncen dan Josenan. Sedangkan outlet di saluran Pancasila untuk pengendalian banjir di Kelurahan Pandean, Nambangan Lor dan Kidul.
“Kalau yang gang Pancasila itu ya sangat urgen. Sebab begitu debit airnya deras, lokasi itu jadi langganan antrean air,” pungkasnya. (*)
