KOTA MADIUN (Dinas PUPR) – Upaya Pemkot Madiun menertibkan jaringan kabel di beberapa ruas jalan terus dikebut. Pemkot telah meminta provider segera memindahkan kabel-kabel untuk selanjutnya ditanam di bawah tanah atau sistem ducting. Pun, upaya tersebut sudah dilakukan sejak beberapa bulan lalu. Bahkan, infrastruktur berupa wadah jaringan kabel di bawah tanah itu telah disediakan.
Di antaranya, di kawasan Pahlawan Street Center (PSC), Jalan H.O.S. Cokroaminoto, Jalan Panglima Sudirman, Jalan H.A. Salim, dan Jalan Kolonel Marhadi. Namun, progresnya terkesan jalan di tempat.
“Kami tidak asal memerintahkan pemindahan. Tapi, juga sudah menyiapkan tempatnya. Saluran bawah tanah yang kami lebarkan juga difungsikan untuk instalasi kabel,’’ kata Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang Suwarno, Sabtu (9/7).
Penampakan kabel semrawut tidak linier dengan program pemkot yang terus mempercantik wajah kota. Menurut Suwarno, pemindahan kabel udara mendesak dilakukan. Pun, telah dibahas bersama Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jaringan Telekomunikasi (Apjatel) beberapa waktu lalu.
“Silakan, apa yang dibutuhkan segera sampaikan ke kami. Segera dipindah ke bawah tanah agar kota ini semakin indah,’’ ujarnya.
Suwarno meminta pihak provider segera menyampaikan kesediaannya. Termasuk kebutuhan pemindahan kabel ke sistem ducting. Pihaknya tak segan memfasilitasi untuk memuluskan upaya penataan kota ini. Mulai regulasi, peralatan, waktu pemindahan, hingga retribusi jika ada unsur sewa-menyewa aset.
