KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Proyek pembangunan Instalasi Pengolahan Lumpur Tinja (IPLT) di Kota Madiun tengah berprogres. Terbaru, pekerjaan proyek di kawasan TPA Winongo itu menyentuh 3,26 persen selesai.
Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun Thariq Megah mengatakan, progres pembangunan sementara ini menyentuh pekerjaan awal. Meliputi galian dan pemasangan pancang, pembangunan pondasi, hingga pengecoran dinding. ‘’Progres lebih cepat 0,76 persen dari target rencana 2,5 persen,’’ kata Thariq, Senin (12/8).
Menurut Thariq, DPUPR bakal membangun kantor operasional dan instalasi limbah tinja. Instalasi meliputi pembangunan solid seperation chamber, drying area, anaerobic filter, gudang lumpur tinja, unit fakultatif, unit maturasi, cascade aerator, wetland, dan bangunan pendukung lain. ‘’Insya Allah pekerjaan selesai akhir November nanti,’’ ujarnya.
Thariq menyebut embangunan IPLT senilai Rp 10,6 miliar dari DAK (dana alokasi khusus) 2024 itu terletak di kawasan Jalan Ring Road Barat. Atau di sebelah timur TPA Winongo. Menggunakan lahan seluas 3.895 meter persegi, kapasitas penampungan dan pengolahaan 20 meter kubik per hari. ‘’Lokasi IPLT mempertimbangkan akses jalan yang mudah dan jauh dari permukiman warga,’’ terangnya.
Dia menambahkan, pembangunan IPLT sebagai upaya peningkatan taraf kesehatan masyarakat. Pengolahan limbah tinja guna menjaga kualitas air tanah maupun air baku. Menciptakan lingkungan bersih dan sehat. Serta, menjadi sarana edukasi peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pencemaran lingkungan. ‘’Keberadaan IPLT sebagai pemenuhan sarana sanitasi dalam mewujudkan Kota Madiun sehat,’’ pungkas Thariq.
