KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Pemerintah Kota Madiun melalui Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) menggelontorkan anggaran Rp 3,1 miliar untuk mendukung kegiatan pendidikan di sejumlah pondok pesantren (ponpes). Di antaranya penambahan ruang kelas, aula, hingga rehab tempat ibadah.
“Kalau sudah jadi, bangunan-bangunan tersebut kita dihibahkan kepada masing-masing pondok,” kata Kepala DPUPR Kota Madiun, Thariq Megah, Senin (25/12).
Delapan pondok yang mendapatkan bantuan fisik tahun ini yakni Ponpes Mardliyyah, Ponpes Mujaddadiyyah, dan Ponpes MBS Prof Hamka di Kelurahan Demangan. Selain itu, ada Ponpes Riyadhul Jannah di Jalan Jambu, Ponpes Gading di Ringroad, Ponpes Kanzul Ulum di Kelurahan Sukosari, Ponpes Athoillah di Kelurahan Tawangrejo, dan Ponpes Salafiyah Al hudaa di Jalan Trengguli.
“Pemerintah tidak hanya membangun untuk aset pemerintah. Tetapi juga ke lembaga swasta atau yayasan. Setelah jadi, nanti dihibahkan,” tambahnya.
Setiap ponpes tersebut mendapat bantuan fisik dengan anggaran berkisar Rp400 juta. Ada juga yang di angka Rp335 juta. Semua proyek tersebut telah selesai dan diresmikan Wali Kota Dr. Maidi, 20 Desember lalu.
“Sesuai arahan pakwali kota, fasilitas pondok yang bagus diharap bisa menambah nyaman kegiatan belajar-mengajar untuk peningkatan SDM. Selain itu, keberadaan pondok akan menjadi paket wisata dengan tempat-tempat ikon religi di Kota Madiun,” pungkasnya. (*)
