KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun turut melakukan penghijauan di kawasan Pondok Lansia. Penghijauan dilakukan secara bertahap.
Setidaknya saat ini ada 50 pohon yang sudah ditanam DPUPR Madiun di sekitar pondok. Penanaman dilakukan sejak Rabu (1/11) lalu.
Kepala DPUPR Kota Madiun Thariq Megah mengungkapkan, pohon yang ditanam itu sebelumnya akan ditempatkan di Embung Pilangbango. Namun, karena ada rencana kedatangan Menteri Sosial (Mensos) RI, Tri Rismaharini akhir bulan ini penanaman pohon kemudian dialihkan ke Pondok Lansia.
“Sesuai instruksi pak wali (Maidi, Red) perlu penambahan penanaman pohon. Termasuk pohon yang akan dipindah-tanam dari embung,’’ katanya, Selasa (7/11).
Selain itu, Thariq meminta pihak rekananan pembangunan masjid Pondok Lansia untuk melakukan percepatan. Saat ini, progresnya sudah mencapai sekitar 60 persen.
“Bangunan masjid ini nanti menjadi pelengkap Pondok Lansia,’’ tambahnya.
Selain asrama dan masjid, pembangunan di Pondok Lansia akan dilanjutkan kembali tahun depan. Di antaranya, lanskap dan tambahan asrama.
