KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun kembali memperbaiki trotoar yang kondisinya kurang baik. Salah satunya trotoar di Jalan S. Parman, seputar ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) Arum Dalu.
Kepala DPUPR Kota Madiun, Thariq Megah mengatakan, trotoar yang diperbaiki sepanjang 300 meter dengan lebar sekitar 170-an sentimeter. Pengerjaannya telah dimulai tiga pekan lalu.
“Disitu kan ada beberapa trotoar yang kondisinya jelek, itu kita perbaiki kembali,” ujarnya, Jum’at (30/6).
Konsepnya, trotoar yang saat ini dibangun menyerupai pedestrian yang telah diperbaiki sebelumnya depan Carefure Madiun. Pun warnanya juga disamakan. Termasuk ada beberapa kanstin yang diganti agar senada dengan trotoar yang selama ini ada.
“Kalau anggarannya sekitar Rp300 juta,” tambahnya.
Proyek perbaikan trotoar di Jalan S. Parman itu nantinya menyambung sampai ke rel Sukosari. Pun saluran terbuka di depan Taman Obor juga ditutup.
Menurut Trariq, perbaikan trotoar itu dilakukan untuk mengembalikan fungsi asalnya, yakni untuk pejalan kaki. Selain mengedepankan faktor keamanan pengguna jalan, pembangunan trotoar juga memperhatikan dari segi estetika.
“Jadi fungsi dasar trotoar itu untuk fasilitas pejalan kaki biar aman dan nyaman. Makanya kita juga memperhatikan dari sisi keindahannya juga,” pungkasnya. (*)
