KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Pemerintah Kota Madiun kembali menyempurnakan kawasan Pahlawan Religi Center (PRC). Di antaranya pembangunan 20 lapak permanen layaknya di timur tengah agar senada dengan kawasan musala Ka’bah.
Lapak akan dibangun di sisi utara dan selatan musala Ka’bah. Tujuannya untuk mewadahi pelaku UMKM Kota Madiun agar ekonominya meningkat.
Walikota Madiun, Maidi mengatakan, kawasan wisata di jantung kota Madiun saat ini menjadi magnet bagi wisatawan ketika berlibur di kota Pendekar. Karena itu, penyempurnaan akan terus dilakukan, termasuk menambah spot lokasi wisata enam negara.
“Kalau kota kita itu dinamis, ada perubahan-perubahan, ini akan ramai terus pengunjungnya. Kalau disitu jadi, ini menjadi kampung dunia. Akan ada enam bahasa disini, kalau sudah di Ka’bah, ya kawasan berbahasa arab, ada kawasan berbahasa inggris, maupun bahasa Jawa” ujarnya, Sabtu (10/6).
Selain membangun lapak permanen, di kawasan PRC juga akan dibangun dua gapura di sisi utara dan selatan. Selain itu, bagian lantai akan dilapisi epoxy sehingga halus dan mengkilap.
Walikota Maidi menyebut untuk penyempurnaan kawasan PRC, Pemkot Madiun menganggarkan dana sekitar Rp3 Miliar. Termasuk untuk pembangunan replika menara jam big ben Inggris, dan replika Kincir Belanda. (*)
