KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun tengah melaksanakan pembangunan saluran penutup saluran Pancasila di Kelurahan Nambangan Lor, Kecamatan Manguharjo. Penutup di atas saluran itu dibangun sepanjang 600 meter ke barat dari pagar jembatan. Adapun lebarnya sekitar sembilam meter.
Kepala Bidang Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Air (PSDA) DPUPR Kota Madiun, Suyanto mengatakan, proyek tersebut telah dikerjakan mulai pertengahan April lalu. Di awali bangunan eks pasar Sonokeling, telah dibongkar habis rata dengan tanah.
“Penutupan saluran itu tentunya menyesuaikan penataan kawasan disitu, yang jelas ini sudah kita mulai pertengahan April kemarin,” katanya, Sabtu (6/5).
Suyanto menjelaskan, untuk merealisasikan proyek tersebut, pemkot menyiapkan anggaran sekitar Rp3,5 miliar dari APBD tahun 2023. Sedangkan revitalisasi pasar tradisional, direncanakan masuk pada penganggaran tahun depan.
“Di atas penutup saluran di Pancasila itu rencananya akan dibangun pedestrian. Tapi, kami sesuaikan anggaran yang ada. Jika tidak cukup ya akan dilanjutkan tahun depan,’’ ungkapnya.
Selain penataan saluran di kawasan tersebut, lanjut Suyanto, penutup permukaan di atas saluran juga mempertimbangkan aspek keamanan. Sebab, saluran tersebut cukup dalam. Ditargetkan proyek tersebut selesai awal November mendatang. (*)
