KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Pembangunan Instalasi Pengolahan Lumpur Tinja (IPLT) di Kota Madiun mulai berjalan. Seiring itu, proyek yang terletak di kawasan TPA Winongo, Kelurahan/Kecamatan Manguharjo, Kota Madiun itu langsung ditinjau Penjabat (Pj) Wali Kota Madiun, Eddy Supriyanto bersama tim Pengamanan Pembangunan Strategis (PPS) Kejaksaan Negeri Kota Madiun, Rabu (24/7).
Eddy mengatakan, pembangunan IPLT perlu dikawal dan diawasi. Dengan melibatkan tim PPS, pemkot berharap pelaksanaan pembangunan berjalan sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku. Dia mengaku bakal intens meninjau pekerjaan hingga kelak proyek pembangunan selesai.
“Nanti saya juga akan turun setiap waktu untuk mengecek dan sebagainya. Sampai pembangunan itu sesuai dengan ketentuan,” katanya.
Menurutnya, keberadaan IPLT kelak untuk mengatasi limbah atau lumpur tinja di Kota Madiun. Lumpur tinja hasil penyedotan rumah tangga ditampung serta diolah guna menurunkan zat organik dan bakteri yang dapat menimbulkan masalah kesehatan dan kenyamanan lingkungan. Selanjutnya, hasil pengolahan akan dihitung berdasarkan batas baku mutu aman yang dapat dibuang ke lingkungan.
“Pada prinsipnya pembangunan ini bermanfaat untuk warga Kota Madiun. Masyarakat setempat yang terdampak setuju dengan pembangunan IPLT. Mereka juga kami ajak untuk studi banding ke IPLT Supit Urang Kota Malang,’’ ujarnya.
‘’Keberadaan IPLT sebagai upaya Kota Madiun menuju kota sehat,’’ imbuh Eddy.
Dia menambahkan, pengawasan terhadap IPLT tidak sekadar saat pembangunan hingga selesai. Melainkan juga saat operasional pengolahan kelak. Baik dalam tata cara pengolahan hingga retribusi yang dibebankan.
‘’Setelah ini (pembangunan selesai, Red) kan ada regulasi. Kami bangun dulu terus kami buat regulasi. Nah, itu perda atau apa sehingga nanti harus dibahas dengan DPRD setempat. Yaitu terkait apakah ini bisa untuk retribusi atau enggak,” pungkasnya. (*)
