KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) turut memperhatikan kondisi saluran, biarpun saat ini musim kemarau. Kali ini ada pelebaran saluran di kawasan Stadion Wilis Kota Madiun.
Saluran di sisi selatan stadion, tengah dilakukan pembongkaran untuk diganti yang lebih lebar. Kabid Bina Marga DPUPR Kota Madiun, Agus Tri Sukamto menyebut, paket proyek itu masuk pekerjaan pemeliharaan jalan paket dua, gabung dengan pekerjaan pengaspalan.
“Kita lakukan penggantian gorong-gorong di dua titik akses keluar masuk di kawasan Stadion Wilis dan satu titik lagi yang lurusnya Jalan Parikesit,’’ katanya, Selasa (14/5).
Agus menyebut saluran di tiga titik tersebut sebelumnya cukup kecil. Yakni, berdiamter sekitar 40 sampai 60 sentimeter. Sehingga petugas mengalami kesulitan untuk pembersihan.
‘’Saluran yang lama buntu dan terlalu kecil. Jadi kalau mau dikeduk kita agak kesulitan. Kita besarkan biar orang bisa masuk untuk pembersihan atau pengedukan sedimennya,’’ bebernya.
Menurut Agus, kondisi saluran di lokasi itu juga mengalami kerusakan. Sehingga perlu dibaiki, dan bakal diganti dengan box culvert dengan lebar sekitar satu meter.
Pembenahan saluran juga difungsikan untuk melancarkan aliran dari Jalan Pendowo. Tujuannya agar air tidak ke utara dan langsung mengarah ke sungai yang berada di barat SDN Klegen 01 tersebut.
‘Pesan kami, masyarakat harus ikut menjaga. Jangan sampai saluran yang sudah baik, sudah lebar ini justru digunakan untuk membuang sampah ke saluran,’’ pungkasnya. (*)
