KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun mencatat, ada dua persen jalan di kota ini yang masuk kategori kurang mantap. Lokasinya tersebar di sejumlah titik.
Kepala DPUPR, Thariq Megah mengatakan, dari 433,095 kilometer total panjang jalan yang ditangani Pemerintah Kota Madiun, hanya sekitar sepuluh kilometer di antarnya yang kurang baik. Rinciannya, sepanjang tujuh kilometer kondisi jalan dengan kerusakan ringan dan tiga kilometer jalan masih berupa tanah.
“Instruksi dari pak wali, lebaran nanti kondisi jalan harus sudah bagus karena diperkirakan akan banyak pemudik yang datang maupun melintas di Kota Madiun,” ujarnya, Selasa (26/3).
Thariq menyebut, kerusakan ringan jalan di Kota Madiun di antaranya, retak, lubang, dan penurunan ketinggian. Sedangkan jalan berupa tanah itu merupakan jalan inspeksi tepi sungai atau jalan baru yang memang belum diaspal.
‘Kita berupaya untuk segera menyelesaikan lah,” tambahnya.
Seperti diketahui, perawatan dan perbaikan jalan di Kota Madiun dilakukan petigas DPUPR secara berkala. Tujuannya tak lain untuk meningkatkan keselamatan, dan kenyamanan pengguna jalan. (*)
