KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Proyek pembangunan Instalasi Pengolahan Lumpur Tinja (IPLT) di Kota Madiun tengah berproses. Progres pembangunannya masih dalam tahap pekerjaan awal.
Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun, Thariq Megah menjelaskan, sementara ini, pekerjaan baru menyentuh galian serta pemasangan pancang. Kemudian, pekerjaan selanjutnya berupa pembangunan pondasi hingga pengecoran dinding.
“Termasuk ada pembuatan akses jalan dan kolam penampungan limbah,” ujarnya saat mendampingi Pj Walikota Madiun dan Tim PPS Kejaksaan Negeri di kawasan proyek IPLT, Rabu (24/7).
Menurut Thariq, terdapat sejumlah item pekerjaan yang akan dibangun DPUPR. Yakni, bangunan kantor operasional dan instalasi limbah tinja.
Untuk instalasinya, meliputi pembangunan solid seperation chamber, drying area, anaerobic filter. Kemudian gudang lumpur tinja, unit fakultatif, unit maturasi, cascade aerator, wetland, dan bangunan sarana pendukung lainnya.
“Insya Allah pekerjaan selesai akhir November,” ungkapnya.
Untuk lokasinya, lanjut Thariq, pembangunan IPLT terletak di kawasan Jalan Ring Road Barat. Tepatnya, di sebelah timur TPA Winongo.
Proyek sarana sanitasi tersebut menggunakan lahan seluas 3.895 meter persegi dengan kapasitas penampungan dan pengolahan lumpur tinja 20 meter kubik per hari. Anggaran bersumber dari dana alokasi khusus (DAK), senilai Rp11,8 miliar.
“Pemilihan lokasi pembangunan IPLT mempertimbangkan akses jalan yang mudah dan jauh dari kawasan permukiman warga,” terang Thariq.
Dia menambahkan, pembangunan IPLT sebagai upaya peningkatan taraf kesehatan masyarakat. Pengolahan limbah tinja guna menjaga kualitas air tanah maupun air baku, menciptakan lingkungan bersih dan sehat, serta menjadi sarana edukasi peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pencemaran lingkungan.
“Keberadaan IPLT sebagai pemenuhan sarana sanitasi dalam mewujudkan Kota Madiun sehat,” pungkasnya. (*)
