KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Penjabat (Pj) Walikota Madiun, Eddy Supriyanto mengecek pembangunan pondok lansia tahap dua bersama DPUPR dan kejaksaan, Kamis (18/7). Hasil pengecekannya di lapangan, proyek yang dianggarkan sekitar Rp8 Miliar tersebut on progres.
“Hasilnya on progres ya, perkiraan awal November sudah selesai, sehingga bisa segera diresmikan dan dipakai lansia atau kegiatan sosial lainnya,” ujarnya.
Ia menyebut, keberadaan pondok lansia itu bermanfaat bagi mereka yang hidup sebatang kara. Pun juga bagi lansia non potensial atau ngebrok.
“Tadi kami juga menyapa para lansia disini, mereka merasa nyaman,” katanya.
Lokasi pondok lansia yang dibangun pemda itu sangat strategis. Apalagi berada di tengah area persawahan, sehingga membuat para lansia lebih tenang dan nyaman.
Pada sisi lain, salah satu proyek strategis pemkot itu juga mendapat pendampingan dari tim pengamanan pembangunan strategis (PPS) Kejaksaan Negeri (Kejari) Kota Madiun. Harapannya, pengerjannya sesuai aturan, sehingga tidak berimplikasi hukum.
“Bangunan ini benar-benar harus dibangun sebaik-baiknya dan sesuai aturan, mudah-mudah tidak ada masalah di kemudian hari,” terangnya.
Untuk operasionalnya di bawah naungan Dinas Sosial, Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak (Dinsos-PPPA). Pun ke depan sejumlah fasilitas dan sarana prasarana penunjang akan disempurnakan, termasuk menambah jumlah tempat tidur (bed), Tv, kipas angin maupun AC.
“Ini fasilitasnya memang belum maksimal, tapi dari sisi bangunan sudah bagus, sudah nyaman. Dan untuk hiburan para lansia, Tv itu saya kira penting,” tandasnya. (*)
