KOTA MADIUN (DinasPUPR) – Pemkot Madiun melalui Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Madiun kembali menyempurnakan kawasan Bogowonto Culinary Center (BCC). Yakni dilengkapi replika kereta cepat Indonesia yang nantinya hanya akan digunakan untuk wisata kuliner.
Proyek tersebut dianggarkan sekitar Rp1,9 Milyar. Meski replika, namun dengan skala 1:1.
Kepala DPUPR, Thariq Megah mengatakan, konsep pembangunan replika kereta cepat Indonesia itu tidak berada di bawah seperti kereta pada umumnya. Melainkan di atas permukaan jalan secara melintang setinggi 5 meter dengan panjang gerbong kereta 27 sentimeter dan lebar lima meter.
“Selain penyempurnaan, ini juga akan menambah estetika tempat kuliner di Bogowonto. Di mana nanti setelah jadi bisa digunakan untuk tempat makan, tempat rapat maupun tamu VIP,” ujarnya, Senin (7/8).
Thariq menyatakan, karena BCC ini bernuansa kereta, maka DPUPR menambah bangunan pelengkap berupa replika kereta cepat Indonesia dan interiornya dirombak semewah mungkin. Proyek tersebut sesuai jadwal berakhir pertengahan Desember.
Namun ia mengupayakan di awal Desember ini bisa diresmikan dan digunakan masyarakat untuk beraktivitas. Sebelumnya, di kawasan tersebut sebelumnya juga telah terpasang gerbong kereta yang didalamnya disulap menjadi restoran.
